stroke into another car in front of me

I was in an accident in December 2008 and was rear ended while at a complete stop by a car  and then pushed into another car in front of me. The other driver was cited. My car was damaged both in the back and the front. I have been receiving medical treatment for my neck, back and shoulder. Unfortunately at the time I did not have medical coverage through my car insurance company. I have been paying my entire medical. (In small payments) I learned my lesson on not having medical coverage so I now have medical coverage which took affect inFebruary2009. I seemed to be getting better until March 24th 2009 when I was rear ended again while sitting still at a restaurant drive through window. My rear bumper paint is scratched a little bit and it has a small gouge in it. My question is am I in a bad situation now since there are two insurance companies involved now? I'm sure the first one will not want to pay anything after the second accident. I do not have a lawyer because I was trying to handle this myself, but I'm not sure what the two insurance companies are going to do now. The first one may not want to pay anything after the second accident and the second insurance company may not want to pay at all since I was already receiving medical treatment. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi

They are 2 seperate incidents, therefore are dealt with seperatly.  Normally the first accident payment of compensation would be full entitlement.  For the second claim the insurance companies should assess it as you had been injured before however the new accident has resulted in further injury therefore you will be paid further compensation.

Remember it was an accident and it was not your fault.

Do not sign anything!  Do get a lawyer.  Do get one now.  This could make all the difference and most will work on commission.
